Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31 1965) is an American actress and model. She started out as a young model and received acclaim at age 12 for her lead role in the film of Louis Malle Pretty Baby (1978). She modeled into her teenage years, and was widely praised for her role in Louis Malle's 1978 film Pretty Baby. In the 90s, Shields returned to acting and appeared in small role in films. She also appeared in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), which was nominated for two Golden Globes. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. Shields returned to NBC in 2017, reprising her role as a major recurring character in Law & Order: Special Victims Unified's 19th season. Shields has the role of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields is a New Yorker who was born May 31st 1965 in Manhattan. She is the daughter of businessman Frank Shields (1941-1903). According to research conducted by William Addams Reinwiesner, Shields is related to various noble families of Italy specifically from Genoa and Rome. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was the Italian noblewoman Marina Torlonia di Zivitella-Cesi she was the daughter of an Italian prince and an American socialite. Her great-uncle was the Italian nobleman Alessandro Torlonia, the husband of Infanta Beatriz of Spain.When Teri announced that she was expecting, Frank's family paid her a sum to terminate the pregnancy.
