Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived to a musical family 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the cousin of daughter of the singer Dionne. The label signed her to Arista in 1983, where she continued to work for the rest of her career. The album she released as her debut Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and quickly became the top-selling album by an artist who was a rookie. The album All My Love was released in 1985 and was a top one single. The album was released in 1987, and it sold over 25 million copies around the world. The Whitney album of 1987, that featured songs like The Bodyguard, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to and continued to be a huge success. But it came with The Bodyguard of 1992 that was her breakthrough album and made her one of the biggest-selling musicians in recent history. Though the movie was not very well received, nor was her performance, the soundtrack of her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the number one spot on both the albums and singles charts in the United States for a period of time. It sold 44,000,000 copies. In 1993, it was also that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician and father of her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown. In 1996, her drug usage was well documented.

Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz in the way she's well-known as an American anchorwoman reporter who also serves as CNN's political reporter.
