Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, and was the 2nd youngest recipient to win an award within Oscar history. Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 movie Amistad. She played teenagers as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
