Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder believes she is Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. The actress is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal and Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was seven, her family relocated to Mendocino County California. The family was in a house that didn't have electric power. Ryder was a voracious book reader because there was no TV. Ryder was 12 when she was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Her first role was a success on the big screen in 1986 at the age of 15 old. Ryder suffered bullying in the high school. Her hope was that acting would bring about a change. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The actress continued to chase her dreams. In 1988, when Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that gave her her first big break. Ryder was later cast in numerous roles that were successful. In 1993, she received an Academy Prize for The Age of Innocence.
